Physical & Creative Expression
Exercise and sports are extremely important for adolescents, providing focus for their physical energy, allowing them to challenge themselves and others, and to develop skills. Classes are offered in five-week rotations and may include: ultimate Frisbee, rock-climbing, basketball, golf, fencing, horseback riding, yoga, and karate.
Creative expression is essential to adolescent development as students explore and experiment with their emerging identities. At this age, the developing personality has a natural predisposition to creative expression in many forms. As such, Omni offers as many formal outlets as possible to the students. Classes are currently offered in wood working, guitar, photography, pottery, painting, and acting. Other smaller workshops also emerge for the students as the year unfolds. Students share their talents at "Coffeehouse Performances" with peers, parents, and other members of the school community.
