The Annual Giving Campaign is Omni Montessori School's number one fundraising priority. This permanent, recurring fundraising effort provides critical and unrestricted support to Omni's operating budget, impacting every student and guide every day.
No private school can meet its operating expenses by tuition alone without becoming prohibitively expensive. A successful Annual Giving Campaign helps us keep tuition increases to a minimum - and unlike tuition, Annual Giving Campaign contributions are tax-deductible.

why is it important to participate?
A robust Annual Giving Campaign ensures the best possible learning environments, tools, and resources as well as guides for our students. The Annual Giving Campaign is the foundation of all fundraising at Omni Montessori School. When you participate in the Annual Giving Campaign it shows your belief in the school's mission of empowering children in a community faithful to the teachings of Maria Montessori. Participation in the Annual Giving Campaign is often used as a data point by outside funding institutions to evaluate the stability of an independent school.
My family already pays tuition. what should i donate to the annual giving campaign?
Donations to the Annual Giving Campaign are necessary because tuition gives your child access to more than tuition actually covers. At Omni Montessori School, like many independent schools, tuition does not cover the full cost of your child's learning experience. Your contributions to the Annual Giving Campaign support the people that make Omni Montessori School so special - the students and the guides. Donations create innovative learning tools and education environments, improve maintenance and facilities, support exceptional faculty and staff and their professional development, as well as provides financial aid for our students.
Why not set tuition high enough to cover the cost?
Not all socio-economic statuses are the same. Higher tuition might prevent a family from considering or even enrolling their child at Omni Montessori School. Contributions to the Annual Giving Campaign are tax deductible while tuition is not.
Can my donation really make a difference?
We are a small school, and the needs are large. Every gift made to the Annual Giving Campaign makes a positive impact.
How is my contribution used?
Gifts made to the Annual Giving Campaign are unrestricted, so they can be used where they are needed the most. Every dollar donated is used to meet the needs and enhance the opportunities of Omni Montessori School. Donations support innovative learning tools and educational environments, maintenance and facilities, exceptional faculty and staff and their professional development, as well as financial aid for our students.
How much should i give?
Every family at Omni Montessori School is encouraged to participate in the Annual Giving Campaign in a way that is meaningful to them. Every gift, no matter the size, does make a difference. Donations to the Annual Giving Campaign range from $25 to $15,000. We hope that every family will give at a level commensurate with their financial ability. Each gift is important in achieving our goal.
I am an alum, or my child is an alumnus. why should i donate?
Once you have been a part of Omni Montessori School, you will forever remain a member of the greater Omni Community. You have witnessed firsthand the lasting influence Omni Montessori School can have on the educational backbone of a child. Additionally, the availability of good Montessori schools is a concern for the families in the greater Charlotte-area. Let us continue to value the lasting impact of Omni Montessori School.
Is there a way to make my gift go further?
A company match can stretch your dollar further. Omni Montessori School has partnered with DoubletheDonation.com to make it easy to check if your employer will match your donation and provides a link to your organization's form to sign up. This is an easy way to double or even triple your donation and will count towards your family's total contribution level. If you do not see your company listed under Double the Donation, reach out to your company's HR representative.
Are there tax benefits available if i donate to omni montessori school?
Donations made to the Annual Giving Campaign are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Omni Montessori School is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, EIN 56-14661119.
How long do i have to pay my pledge?
If you elect to make a pledge during the 31 days of giving, we prefer to receive all payments by June 1, 2023. When you make your contribution, you will be sent an official receipt that you may use for your tax deduction calculations in the tax year your payment was made.
Can i make monthly or quarterly payments?
Yes, you can make recurring monthly payments. When completing the online donation form, you can notate your preferred payment cycle.
Can I keep my donation confidential?
Yes, you can keep your donation confidential. When completing the online donation form, you can select to be listed as anonymous. You can also notify the Director of Development of how you would like for your donation to notated to the public.
What is 31 days of giving?
The 31 days of giving is a period between October 1st and October 31st when all parents, faculty/staff, Trustees, alumni, former families, and friends of Omni Montessori School are invited to support the Annual Giving Campaign. By giving more and pledging early, your dollars will be used immediately for our wonderful students and guides. Our hope is to have 100% participation from our current families, faculty/staff, and Board of Trustees during the 31 days of giving.

Just by participating, you help us achieve our first goal of 100% participation. We ask each of you to participate at a level that is appropriate for your family's budget; each gift is meaningful and makes an impact.
