Q. Is there space available?
A. Presently we are re-enrolling our current families and will start new family interviews in the spring. We will have an idea if spaces are available after interviews are complete.

Q. Do you have a waiting list?
A. Yes. We take applications throughout the year. We take into consideration the age and gender balance in each classroom.

Q. How long is the waiting list?
A. This is a difficult question to answer because of the fact that we balance age and gender in each classroom. Some children may be accepted earlier than others because they fill an age or gender based need in a specific classroom. Our waiting list is "first come first served", but it is difficult to predict when space might be available for a specific child due to balancing issues and admission of siblings and transfers.

Q. May I come and visit?
A. Absolutely. We offer tours and observations. An observation is a wonderful way for a parent to absorb the surroundings of a Montessori classroom. It is a 30-minute observation followed by a tour (if needed). Any further questions will be answered at this point as well.

Q. What is the tuition?
A. The tuition at each level is different. Please refer to the tuition schedule on the "Admissions" page.

Q. Is financial aid available?
A. Financial aid is available to qualified registered families. Application for aid is made through School and Student Service for Financial Aid.

Q. How many children can be in a class?
A.. The average class size is 24. Each classroom has an AMI trained teacher and an assistant.

Q. Is this a year round program?
A. No. We offer a 9 ½ month program, beginning in mid-August and continuing through the first week of June.

Q. Can my child come three days a week?
A. No. We adhere to the Montessori philosophy that children benefit developmentally from a routine and predictable schedule. Therefore, all of our programs are 5-day programs.

Q. How hard is it to transition a child from Montessori to a traditional school program?
A. Children do best remaining in the Montessori program. However, if the need to leave Omni Montessori occurs, the confidence and strength gained from their education benefits and prepares them for any new challenge they encounter.
