LEARNING SPECIALIST

Omni Montessori School seeks a Learning Specialist to support students with different learning styles by providing intervention and remediation; guiding teachers in their efforts to advance students with different learning needs; and coordinating with parents, students, and outside professionals. The preferred candidate will hold a teaching certificate or degree in Special Education, have knowledge of, and passion for, Montessori education, plus a minimum of three years’ experience working with elementary aged children. DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

Omni Montessori School seeks a Director of Development to provide leadership, direction and coordination of a comprehensive advancement program. This key position will be responsible for building Omni’s Development Office to advance the school’s strategic goals.

The Director of Development (DD) oversees all fund raising and friend-raising initiatives at Omni Montessori School. As such, the DD supports Omni Montessori School’s vision, mission and values by leading all aspects of the Development Office, including fundraising (annual, capital, planned giving, and special events), alumni relations, volunteer coordination and communications. The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, knowledge of, and passion for, Montessori education, plus a minimum of three years of nonprofit fundraising experience. LOWER ELEMENTARY GUIDE

Omni Montessori School seeks an elementary guide to lead an established class of students aged 6-9 years beginning August 1, 2018.  The preferred candidate will possess an elementary AMI diploma and is comfortable in a larger community. During the first year the candidate will be asked to be mentored by an established Omni Elementary guide. We seek nurturing, curious and self-motivated guides who are committed to creating classrooms that embody Dr. Montessori’s vision for cosmic education. 

Qualifications:

  • AMI Elementary diploma required
  • Master degree a plus
  • Excellent written communication as well as interpersonal and public speaking skills
  • A proven ability to work collaboratively and thoughtfully as part of a collegial team
  • Possession of professional maturity, sound judgment, integrity and the ability to interact positively with parents
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required

PART-TIME MIDDLE SCHOOL SPANISH LANGUAGE SPECIALIST

We seek a part-time Spanish Language Specialist to work with students aged 12-15 years for the remainder of the 2017-18 school year. We have an ongoing need for substitute bus drivers to transport students between two campuses. The ideal candidate will possess a NC CDL license with School Bus Certification and have a minimum of one year of school bus driving experience. This is an on call position.
