Adolescent Program Language Arts & Humanities Guide
Megan loves that each day of teaching is different, that each class has the possibility of introducing a new thought or idea, and a flexible environment that is somewhat acceptable to not work out as planned, or maybe grow in different directions than expected. Her favorite part is getting to know the students and seeing them grow throughout the year. She likes seeing them develop passions expressed through assignments that call to them, helping to build them up, and hopefully encouraging them to develop an appreciation for the same things. She especially enjoys writing, because it’s so personal, this is where she really see them able to express themselves, her goal is to foster that love.
Megan is originally from Pensacola, Florida and has also lived in Atlanta, New York City, and now in Charlotte for five years. She is also a newlywed, married May of 2016 and has a German Shorthaired Pointer puppy named Mackinac. Megan enjoys being outdoors, all things promoting artistic expression.
