Beau Johnson is an AMI-certified teacher who has taught for six years, four of them at Montessori institutions.

Beau spent his own Primary and lower Elementary years attending Montessori school. "I remember those years fondly and with vivid clarity," he recalls. After completing graduate studies, Beau returned to Montessori education, seeing it in a new light, as teacher rather than student. "Every day is a new adventure in a Montessori environment," he says. "I get to experience all parts of a students' personalities and interact with them rather than dictate expectations from a podium at the front of the class. At the Land Lab, my students are going through so many changes, mentally and physically, engaging all aspects of their bodies and minds. To be part of the process that allows them do so is a great experience."
