BoT Trustee Nominations Due Friday, April 9th

Each year in May the Omni Board of Trustees enjoys the annual springtime process of electing new board members to three year service terms.  For the remainder of 2010 and into 2011, the board will be considering several important initiatives that will enable us to fulfill the board’s mission.

The board seeks members to do to its work who will bring to the role their skills and passion to ensure that Omni maintains its character as it develops its future.  We anticipate four vacancies this year to replace trustees whose terms are expiring.  If you are considering running for an open board seat we encourage you to attend an upcoming board meeting.  Our meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month in the Activity Center and begin at 7:00 PM.

The Omni Bylaws specify that a “Nominating Committee shall search for trustee candidates from the parent body.”  “Nominees must have demonstrated commitment to the school and to the Montessori philosophy.”

Trustee candidates must submit written biographies outlining their skills and qualifications.  Nominees’
biographies will be distributed to Omni families prior to the vote held on May 18, 2010.
